Debian Lenny und "check_esx3" PERL Fehler: Perl_Tstack_sp_ptr

Hallo zusammen,

ich nutze Debian Lenny (stable 5)
Kernel: 2.6.26-1-686 i686
Nagios 3.06
Plugins etc. (siehe Profildaten)

das Problem habe ich beim verwenden des "check_esx3" Plugins von ...

Zuvor unter Debian Etch 4 hatte ich das Problem noch nicht.
Dank ;( der neuen Perl Version so hat es den Anschein tritt das Problem erstmal in Debian 5 Lenny auf.

Nun habe ich bereits etwas geforscht und dann auch einen Tipp gefunden nur das geht nach hintenlos,
entweder mache ich was falsch oder das ist nicht die Lösung...

Okay machen wir es anders... Frage: Weiß dann wenigstens jemand wie ich die "Debian Etch Perl Version" mit der es noch ging herstelle oder parallel zur nicht funktionerenden betreibe? :wacko:

[WORKAROUND] How To "downgrade perl" (schön finde ich was anderes)

So habe ich es zumindest gemacht,
1. in den /etc/apt/sources.list - noch etch Zeilen hinzugefügt.
2. die aktuellen mittels

rausgeschmissen

dann konnte ich mir nochmals make, gcc++ und gcc installieren und anschließend
./vmware-viperl.pl erneut durchführen.

This might be solved if you reinstall the XML/LibXML modules. It looks like vmware replace some perl modules. More information about that can be found here:

Erstens recht hat er.
Zweitens waren die schnell also Antwort hatte ich nach 2 Stunden. (und das mit dem schnell war nicht ironisch gemeint)
Drittens bringt sein Vorschlag leider nichts.

Als kleine Anekdote dazu:
Nach der Installation ver VMware remote CLI auf meiner Xp Machine konnte ich plötzlich über SMS keine Packete mehr auf den Rechner ausbringen.
Das Problem lag daran, dass die REmote CLI irgendwie mein Windows-Perl verbogen hatte, so das die SMS Perlscripte nicht mehr liefen.
Winodws Perl neu instlliert, ging wieder.

Auch bei mir konnte die Anleitung keine Änderung bewirken, check_esx3 gibt immernoch den selben Fehler. (Mein Server ist aber nicht direkt lenny, sondern Ubuntu Server 9.04)

Soll ich "lieber" Perl downgraden oder auf SNMP umsteigen? Oder wird VMware mal ein VI Perl SDK rausbringen, welches Perl 5.10 kompatibel ist? Das Paket ist immerhin schon wieder über ein halbes Jahr alt!

EDIT:
HA :D Ich werd verrückt :D Es geht. Wie der Link ins VMware Communities Forum , den der OP5 Support gab, hilft es, das betreffende Perl Modul direkt neu erstellen zu lassen (und nicht nur via cpan), sofern es schon installiert ist.
Bei mir war z.B. der Fehler für "/usr/local/lib/perl/5.10.0/auto/XML/LibXML/Common/Common.so". Das Bedeutet:
# cpan
cpan[1]> force install XML::LibXML::Common
<rödel rödel>
cpan[2]> exit
# cd ~/.cpan/build/XML-LibXML-Common-0.13-<irgendwelche chars> (ein genauer Pfad steht auch im vermeintlichen Installationsprozess)
# perl Makefile.PL
# make
# make test
# make install

Bei mir fehlte dann noch Class::MethodMaker (war auf dem System noch nicht installiert worden), mit cpan nachgeholt und Fertig :D

So, und seit dem läuft jetzt check_esx3 (zumindestens -h, wollte euch den Erfolg nur schnell melden :D)

openSuSE 11.0 Problem mit ESX3 Check

Hallo zusammen.
Ich habe ein Problem mit dem ESX3 Plugin.
Wenn ich das Script starte bekomme ich folgende Meldungen auf den zwei Systemen:
System1:
/usr/bin/perl: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/perl5/5.10.0/i586-linux-thread-multi/auto/XML/LibXML/Common/Common.so: undefined symbol: Perl_Tstack_sp_ptr
System2:

Hat jemand eine Idee?
Pakete hab ich nun noch und nöcher nachinstalliert. Komme aber nun einfach nicht weiter.

Liegt es evtl. am Perl 5.10 ?
